Upper Cranberry Lake Campground

    Upper Cranberry Lake is located in TWP 30 Washington County Maine covers 133 acres and is part of the Machias River watershed.  Cranberry Lake Campground offers the best fishing out of our three campgrounds, with bass, pickeral, pearch and an occasional trout in the lake.

     Mopang Lake, Mopang Stream and the Machias River are all just minutes from the campground, offering opportunities for landlocked salmon, splake and brook trout. 

 

     The Sunrise Trail System offers 800 plus miles of ATV and mountain bike riding.

 

     Cranberry Lake is our smallest campground with only 10 sites.  These sites sit high up on a bank off the lake with nice lake views.  For this reason this campsite is not the best for small children. Several are tucked inside the trees but it has an open center area with 4 campsites and a large gathering place which has held events such as family reunions, birthday parties and weddings.

 

      There is no boat launch at this campground, but up around the lake a short distance there is a public launch area.
