Deer Lake Campground

Deer Lake is in TWP34 Hancock County Maine and is 38 acres, with 21 feet maximum depth.  The Narraguagus River begins at Deer  Lake, making Deer Lake Camground a perfect starting location for your Narraguagus River canoe trip.

There are no motorized recreational vehicles or boats allowed on this lake.  Canoeing, kayaking, swimming or just relaxing on the beach however are enjoyed.

Deer Lake is the most centrally located of our three campgrounds.  The Sunrise Trail System, the largest ATV trail system in the country, has over 800 miles of trails available, and from Deer Lake you can ride in four different directions.

If fishing is your desire this is a warm water fish lake with a surface temperature of 72 degrees and at 20 feet 55 degrees.  You will find pickeral, yellow pearch, hornpout (bullhead) alewife, eel, white sucker, banded killifish, pumpkin sunfish, minnows and fallfish also known as chubs.

Deer Lake has 24 campsites both waterfront and some more private snuggled in the beautiful red pines.
